Amsterdam

Seriously, thinking back makes me boil with rage. I've got the worst experience of all my trips ever.

At the airport, the customs officer questioned and treated me like I was a criminal. Of course it's their job to question and all, but he and his colleagues were super arrogant and rude when they snatched my passport. What is this? I never got stopped at the customs like that and it was really humiliating the way they treated me. Even though I could prove I was only a tourist and really intended to return to my home country?! What more did they want? I wouldn't know. And the whole time I kept my cool and be as polite as I could. Guess I was just so unfortunate that they picked me to harass that day. Never got treated with such disrespect at any EU airports I had been to.

Move on.

At any service/info counters.....when I would clarify on info I read somewhere, they would roll their eyes and give me answers like "do you think you know better?"...Clarifying also wrong ah? What's an info counter for? Guess they really hated their job.

And while queuing at some counter, and it was quite a long line....as I was nearing the front of the queue suddenly this woman stood right in front of me. And I was like "Excuse me...." Got ignored.."Madam.....there's a long line behind..." and she acted like she couldn't understand me and spoke in Spanish I think and wouldn't budge. Then at the counter she suddenly spoke fluent English! Sigh...

Then at the train station....the ticket seller scammed 10euro off me! Grrrrrr...

Suey max, only met rude and disrespectful people there this time. Of course not everyone is so, I went around the Netherlands on my previous trips, and didn't meet such nasty people.

Those aside, it was a nice city though it was my second time there. If you have the time, do go outside Amsterdam. There are many more charming places in the Netherlands.
